Bio Info

Stanslus Okurut obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Makerere University majoring in Agricultural Economics. A robust Agribusiness/ Agricultural professional, Stanslus is motivated by the desire to develop products and services that reduce the costs of doing businesses and enable youth and rural farmers gain sustainable access to input, product and financial markets. Stanslus has worked with the National Union of Coffee Agribusinesses and Farm Enterprises (NUCAFE) and Centenary Bank. He is currently pursuing a Master’s of Science Degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics at the Department of Agribusiness and Natural Resource Economics at Makerere University. His study is funded by the Regional Universities Forum (RUFORUM) under the Cassava CARP. Stanslus’ research aims at contributing to “Marketability of cassava among the rural farmers of Eastern Uganda by evaluating farmer adoption of high quality cassava flour (HQCF) processing technologies. Stanslus’ immediate research interests are to increase marketability, reduce post harvest deterioration, and increase farmer incomes from cassava production.
