Bio Info

Ms. Rebecca Mukebezi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and a Master of Science Degree in Agricultural Extension/Education from Makerere University. She is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of extension and Innovation studies in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Makerere University. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Agricultural and Rural Innovations in the same Department, funded by RUFORUM under the Cassava CARP project. Her research focuses on the role of Innovation Platforms in enhancing the performance of the cassava value chains in Eastern and Northern Uganda. The study will provide useful information to practitioners and researchers promoting cassava using multi-stakeholder processes so that they come up with inclusive technologies that not only focus on the technical but also on the non-technical aspects that are pivotal in the decision-making, action and innovation along the cassava value chain. This will go a long way in reducing most of the inefficiencies within the cassava value chain.
